How to use Automode.school

Step-by-step guide. Use the search below to find a topic (e.g. register, login, fees, password).

Getting started is shown below. Log in to your school to see the full guide (dashboard, admission, fees, staff, settings, and more).
  1. Go to the main website (automode.school) — not a school subdomain.
  2. Click Register school in the top right (or open /register).
  3. Enter your school name. A unique subdomain will be suggested (e.g. myschool.automode.school).
  4. Enter your email and a password (at least 6 characters).
  5. Click Register. Your school and admin account will be created.
  6. You will be redirected to your school dashboard at yourschool.automode.school (or your chosen subdomain).

After registration, use your school’s subdomain to log in. Share the subdomain link with staff so they can sign in from the same URL.

  1. You must use your school’s subdomain to log in (e.g. myschool.automode.school or test1.localhost:3000 for local testing).
  2. Open the main site and click School Login, or go directly to your school’s subdomain.
  3. Enter your email or username and your password.
  4. Click Sign in. You will be taken to your role-based dashboard (Admin, Teacher, Parent, etc.).

If you see “Use your school’s subdomain”, you are on the main domain. Go to your school’s subdomain (e.g. yourschool.automode.school) and log in there.

  1. On the login page, click Forgot password? (or open /forgot-password on your school’s subdomain).
  2. Enter your email or username.
  3. Choose how to receive the OTP: Email, SMS, or WhatsApp (if your school has configured these in Settings).
  4. Click Send OTP. You will receive a one-time code (valid for a few minutes).
  5. You will be redirected to the Reset password page. Enter the same email/username, the OTP, and your new password (min 6 characters).
  6. Click Set new password. You can now log in with the new password.

If Email/SMS/WhatsApp is not configured, ask your school admin to set it up in Settings → Notifications & password reset.

  1. After requesting an OTP from the Forgot password page, you land on /reset-password.
  2. Enter your email or username (same as on the previous step).
  3. Enter the OTP you received (email, SMS, or WhatsApp).
  4. Enter your new password twice (min 6 characters).
  5. Click Set new password. Then log in with your new password.
